Announcing the Q4 2025 Get Nearshored Grant Winners
Today, we are thrilled to introduce our three 2025 Grant recipients: Kazmaleje, Pants for Peanuts, and Equipt Movement. Here is a closer look at their journeys and how they are using this support to grow.
Kazmaleje - Detangling tools created specifically for textured hair

Founder: LaToya Stirrup
Years in Business: 6 | Current Production: China
Their Story: LaToya Stirrup launched Kazmaleje to transform frustrating hair care "pain points" into moments of intentional self-care. Over the past six years, her biggest hurdle has been navigating the path of a self-funded brand with the ambitious goal of landing major retail partnerships. She stays motivated by the knowledge that her tools, like the bestselling KurlsPlus Paddle Comb, are fundamentally changing how her customers manage their hair.
Nearshoring Goal: LaToya is currently pivoting to produce a new hair jewelry line. She is utilizing the grant to move production to U.S. jewelry factories, focusing on small-batch production that can scale as the brand grows.
Pants for Peanuts - Adjustable Sizing for Kids

Founder: Natalie Origanti
Years in Business: 6 | Current Production: China, USA, Colombia
Their Story: Natalie founded Pants for Peanuts after a tireless search for clothes that were long and lean enough for her daughter. Today, her Kid’s Slim-Fit Joggers fill a vital void for parents who struggle with "big-box" sizing. The journey hasn't been easy; Natalie once faced a major financial hit after a production run with untested fabric resulted in severe wrinkling—a lesson that cemented her "never skip a quality check" philosophy.
Nearshoring Goal: Natalie is using the grant to source high-quality athletic dry-fit fabric to enhance her joggers. By manufacturing closer to home, she has already seen reduced costs in tariffs and duties. Her goal is to find a local partner who can handle increased volumes and help streamline her production timeline.
Equipt Movement - Fitness with Modern Design

Founder: Kodi Berg
Years in Business: 6 | Current Production: China
Their Story: Kodi Berg believes that movement should live at your fingertips, not be hidden away in a closet. She created Equipt to offer chic, multifunctional workout gear that doubles as home decor. Her bestselling Ubarre - a sleek, weighted tool - epitomizes this "movement inspired by design" philosophy. Over the last six years, Kodi has worked to make fitness feel stylish and accessible, turning the tools we use to stay healthy into pieces we are proud to display on our coffee tables.
Nearshoring Goal: As her brand matures, Kodi is focused on bringing her manufacturing closer to her primary customer base. This shift will allow for tighter quality control and faster innovation as she continues to expand her line of "Ulifestyle" products.
Excited for the winners to Nearshore!
By moving production closer to home, they are reducing shipping delays, ensuring consistent quality, and building more sustainable businesses.
We are honored to support LaToya, Natalie, and Kodi as they take this next big step. Stay tuned to our blog for updates on their progress!
