Nearshore RFQ connector

Draft a request for quote in ChatGPT or Claude, then send it to Nearshore to find factories.

What it does

The connector gives your AI assistant three tools. None of them touch a Nearshore account.

  • Get RFQ schema returns the fields, options and category list Nearshore uses, so the assistant asks the right questions.
  • Validate RFQ draft checks a draft against Nearshore's rules and reports what is missing.
  • Send RFQ to Nearshore parks a finished draft and returns a private review link.

Open the link, sign in to Nearshore, review the draft and click Save to my RFQs. Nothing is added to your account until you click that button. Links work once and expire after 7 days.

No authentication. Transport is streamable HTTP.

Set up in Claude

  1. Open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector, or find Nearshore in the connectors directory.
  2. Paste the connector address. Leave authentication off.
  3. In a new chat, make sure Nearshore is enabled under the tools menu, then use one of the prompts below.

Set up in ChatGPT

  1. Open Settings → Apps & Connectors. Under Advanced, turn on Developer mode.
  2. Choose Create, paste the connector address and pick No authentication. Or install Nearshore from the apps directory.
  3. In a new chat, mention Nearshore or pick it from the tools menu, then use one of the prompts below.

  • Use Nearshore to help me write an RFQ for a 12 oz canvas tote bag with a screen-printed logo, 500 units, made in Mexico.
  • I'm launching a tabletop game. Interview me about the box, cards and dice, then send the RFQ to Nearshore.
  • Check this RFQ draft against Nearshore's rules and tell me what's missing before you send it.

What you need

A free Nearshore brand account to save the draft. Create one here. Drafting and validating work without an account.

Your data

  • The assistant sends only the RFQ fields you give it. The connector never reads your conversation, your account or your files.
  • A sent draft is stored with the sender's IP address for 7 days if nobody claims it, or 30 days after it is saved to an account, then deleted.
  • Validation calls store nothing.
